Comment:

 > GD does not yet have support for the HEIC format, so this one can't be
 fixed at this time. Support for reading the Exif data from an HEIF file
 seems to be slated for PHP 8.5, but the pull request that adds support for
 manipulating these files is still in draft.

 Based on this, I've concluded that this ticket cannot be completed in the
 6.9 release, so I'd like to punt this ticket to 7.0.

 If this ticket needs to be addressed in the 6.9 release, please feel free
 to revert the milestone.
