Comment (by sabernhardt):

The Unsplash site's license was Creative Commons Zero before 5 June 2017.
The Wayback Machine archives confirm the CC0 license in
 [https://web.archive.org/web/20150206215642/https://unsplash.com/license
 February 2015] and
 [https://web.archive.org/web/20170327160416/https://unsplash.com/license
 March 2017].

 - Twenty Seventeen should include a photo credit because it //bundles//
 Alvin Engler's
 [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Succulent_office_plants_(Unsplash).jpg
Succulent office plants] image. Maybe the link could direct to Alvin's
collection, instead of the specific photo, if that makes more sense. The
image was published on Unsplash as of November 2015.
 - Twenty Sixteen's image credit includes a link to the author's Unsplash
collection. I think that is fine to keep, though removing the entire
credit would be consistent with [30867].
 [https://github.com/WordPress/twentysixteen/pull/320 PR 320 added] the
credit in September 2015, but I did not find the image in
 [https://unsplash.com/@schmidy Austin Schmid's current collection].
