Thanks for following up. I have added 2 screenshots, one showing the
editing page with the widget settings showing it is set for 3 columns. On
the Admin view, that is what you see: 3 columns with 3 rows of 3 photos.
The second screenshot shows the published page, where the top row is
reduced to display 2 images, and the last row displays 1 image at full
size, taking the full page width. This happens irrespective of the image
sizes and is clearly because the widget does not correctly display 3
images in the top row. The same happens with any column number selected.
The top row is reduced by one, so 4 displays 3, 5 displays 4, etc.
The theme is Pressville by LSVRthemes, who confirm it is configured for
Gutenberg. I have not tested with a default theme.
You can ignore the admin bar that appears. It seems that the screenshot
extension drags this down from where it actually is on the admin page. No
idea why that is, but I have now added a new one so hope that is clear.
