Comment:

 I might be wrong but this doesn't feel like a fix in the Gutenberg side.
 Out of the box without styling that link this seems to work for me. For
 now, I am going to suggest this is closed and perhaps it is a case of time
 and solution. If this remains an issue per theme it would need to be
 looked at on the basis of those. Thank you everyone.
