 @gigitux thanks for testing and confirming!

 @SirLouen thanks for continuing to investigate the root cause for why
 calling `wp_get_theme()` before the theme directory is registered is
 leading to broken parent themes. Like you, I've been wondering if there is
 more we can do to improve that code path.

 Given that we're close to RC1, let's create a new follow-up ticket for
 further investigation and possible refactor effort.
