 I think the approach in 63005.diff makes a little more sense to me since
 the fix isn't limited to the user table and could provide flexibility to
 the

 @joedolson My gut says it's highly unlikely that there would be an
 additional minor while 6.7 is the supported version, but I also think that
 having things tested and ready in the branch makes it easier if we decide
 to do one.
