 During [https://wordpress.slack.com/archives/C02RQBWTW/p1751902303961979
 today's bug scrub], @johnbillion mentioned that a patch involving
 shortcodes would need tests and @SirLouen suggested closing this.

 I support closing the ticket without a change, especially because this is
 labeled an enhancement instead of a bug. My patch is not merely a
 refreshed version of the previous patch, so I am not highly confident in
 it.
