 There hasn't been any activity on this in a while, so I wonder whether
 there's still appetite to move it forward. @johnbillion What's your take
 on this change? What is needed to make a decision?

 SQL changes like this usually require specific domain knowledge only few
 committers have, so it can be tough to get traction. But when things
 become stale for a while, I'm inclined to close as `maybelater`.
