 @SergeyBiryukov curious if you still had interest in pushing this forward
 for 6.8. I also am interested in your thoughts on the suggestion in the PR
 review that we should actually stick with the current behavior, given that
 as of today >40% of sites are already running on PHP 8.1+ based on
 [https://wordpress.org/about/stats/ current stats].
