 Hi @lcarevic

 Thank you for laying this out! I am also encountering the same problem
 with accessibility of submenu--i.e., canceling it using the Esc key and
 improving keyboard navigation.

 I absolutely agree that adding an option to dismiss (like Esc) and
 improving keyboard control for focus would better meet WCAG SC 1.4.13.
 Your given example is simply excellent!

 Thanks for the improvements. Let me know if there is something that can
 help with testing.
