 The user on Reddit who reported this says that he is using DomainFactory
 for hosting:

 I found this discussion which talks about DomainFactory's `sendmail_path`
 configuration:

 server configuration and now they are forcing a ReturnPath with the
 parameter -f within the sendmail_path in the php.ini (which I cannot

 That post is a few years old so I can't be certain it's still accurate
 today, but it does seem to suggest that DomainFactory likes putting the
 `-f` option in their `sendmail_path` value.
