 Could the next person with new information about the issues surfacing
 after the 6.9 release please open a new bug report ticket and reference
 this one?

 Since this ticket is closed on a completed milestone, it should remain
 that way. This also means it will not show in any reports on Trac, making
 it difficult to find and/or keep track of.
