Comment:

 This issue with overflowing admin bar menu items has been aggravating me
 for awhile. Glad to find there is a ticket for the issue. I specifically
 agree with this approach:

 > Add horizontal scroll without visible scrollbar (scrolling with mouse
 press and pull).
