 FWIW I often also get a matching error regarding `/wp-settings.php` in my
 logs.

 Seems to me the same fix would apply to match `/wp-admin/edit-link-
 form.php`.

 If I should create a new ticket for this issue applying to `wp-
 settings.php` let me know, but since the question of whether there's a
 willingness to fix it is still open, I'll put them both here for now.
