Comment:

 Hey all,

 As this was suggested to be closed 5 years ago by @Clorith, and the
 sentiment since has been that this ticket is no longer relevant within the
 landscape of WordPress today, and should have been resolved in 5.5.1. As
 of such I see no reason why we can't close this ticket, and if there is
 anything further to be done with this, we can reopen it. 😃
