Comment:

 Given that this is only existing functionality, passing unit tests now and
 there has been plenty of performance testing, I don't really know how to
 proceed from a testing perspective. I'm removing `needs-testing` and just
 leaving this open to `dev-feedback` or reporter providing some further
 testing benchmarking framework to reproduce this more adequately.

 A recent example of this framework can be seen here #18836 and here
 #56992, as a reference.
