 @iallixey Thank you for raising this ticket, and welcome to Trac.

 It is certainly a valid point you raise in that the current navigation
 editing system is not well scalable.

 That said, the amount of work needed to improve this is significant. And
 since a WP Admin redesign (and rebuilding likely on top of React) is
 coming, it is not the right timing to work on this in the scope of the
 current menu editing experience. The future architecture will be AJAX-
 based by default anyway, likely using the REST API.

 I think this will need to be revisited for a future menu editing
 experience once we get there.
