 You've landed on the Core WordPress Trac, which tracks bugs in the
 WordPress software itself, not on WordPress.org / Learn WordPress.

 As for the issue at hand, this turned out to be a mis-understanding of the
 interface.
 The 'end date' should have only been specified if the event was recurring,
 which it isn't.

 I've resolved this via https://github.com/WordPress/meeting-
 calendar/commit/f99ef4e6a792e4067a802059f0bea99508f2e406 which has
 rearranged the UI and disabled the end date field unless recurrance has
 been set.
