Comment:

 A lot has changed in the past few years, and Gutenberg is now actively
 working on collaborative editing. Revisions ought to be looked at as part
 of that. So I'd suggest moving this discussion to the Gutenberg repo and
 maybe make the proposal a bit clearer.
