Comment (by saurabh.dhariwal):
wp_post_relationships Table for Post-to-Post Relationships
Now that WordPress supports custom post types, the next natural step for
many developers is to establish relationships between posts—whether via
parent-child or many-to-many associations.
I’ve implemented a plugin that mirrors taxonomy-based relationships
between posts, but I’m increasingly running into many of the same issues
that @prettyboymp and others have pointed out on wp-hackers. This leads me
to believe it might be time to formally consider adding a dedicated table
to WordPress to handle post relationships.
