Comment:

 @azaozz Apologies, I realize now I added info about a similar AVIF bug to
 this original JPG issue.

 I just tested again now and the current versions of WP / ImageMagick
 appear to properly preserve the profile (which is ICC, not CICP/NCLX). I
 have not confirmed with GD, but I consider support with IM to be
 sufficient and am closing this JPG-specific report.
