 I opened bug report #59826 almost a year ago and even provided a PR!
 Later, @petitphp pointed me to this ticket, and we decided to close mine
 since it was a duplicate. Three months ago, you officially closed my
 ticket, but…

 …this bug is still not fixed in the latest WordPress version? I understand
 that WP relies on community contributions, but it’s surprising that a
 simple bug fix like this one has taken so long. It’s becoming really
 frustrating to have to patch the core after each update.

 Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help move this along!
