 Now that we have PHP translation files that are only loaded/parsed when
 needed, it would be interesting to do another set of performance tests
 here to see whether there is still any benefit of doing such lazily
 evaluated translations. I suspect nowadays the benefit is smaller, if not
 the opposite.
