 Yes. This seems the root result of where it’s at today.

 I agree consistency is paramount, but not at the detriment of usability.
 Not all plugins need a setup/configure step—but many do. If we’re making
 it harder to setup 5 out of 12 of the popular plugins, we’re not moving in
 the right direction.

 Thinking out loud riffing ideas, but what about if plugins had “Install”,
 “Activate”, and an open/launch action when activated. Plugins can provide
 where/what open/launch means, and can decide if onboarding, configuration
 is needed on their end. Open/launch doesn’t have to mean a setup or
 configure flow, it could be a plugin’s main settings view, or guide/info.

 It’s essentially moving the redirect one step, but also making the
 installed plugins page more of a launcher.
