Comment:

 My feeling @poena is that right now closing this makes sense. I am going
 to cautiously put a 'close' keyword on to allow space for feedback but
 encourage that state. I agree that too much time has passed to add an
 optional setting, coupled with the fact that currently fixing bugs in
 default themes is the priority - it feels like we shouldn't do this. Of
 course, if others feel differently we can consider it.
