 In order to increase the likelihood of this actually being this actionable
 this time around, would it make sense to create a new ticket specifically
 targeting dropping 5.6?

 That way we can have a scoped discussion/decision about the when/how, and
 if leadership shoots it down then at least we finally have a clear (albeit
 unfortunate) answer as to whether we can do it separately or need to wait
 and drop it with 7.0/7.1.

 (Asking bc I'm not familiar enough with Trac culture to know if this would
 actually be effective, or just cause the issue to fall off the radar
 again)
