 They do touch the same function to improve the caching.

 Hey @oandregal is this Trac ticket the same as the intent of #56910?

 Also there are differences between [https://github.com/WordPress
 /wordpress-develop/pull/3712 PR 3712] and [https://github.com/WordPress
 /wordpress-develop/pull/3789 PR 3789] both of which are adding caching to
 the same function.

 Can or should these be consolidated?
