 Thanks for reviewing, @flixos90. I generally agree with you. I was leaning
 towards [https://github.com/WordPress/wordpress-develop/pull/5112 PR5112]
 because even though it's a workaround, it avoids doing string manipulation
 twice on a large array of file paths, but I don't feel strongly about it.
 It would be nice to get some benchmarks on the two approaches but I
 suspect the difference is negligible.
