 Regarding wp-includes/js/mce-view.js:

 The code was for: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/38511#comment:10.

 We could patch and use pagehide event, but after testing modern Firefox,
 the original issue from 7 years ago is not reproducible. Likely no longer
 an issue. The scope is WP users using the classic editor plugin and large
 shortcodes such as large galleries.
