 Tomorrow is 6.1 RC1. There's been no movement on this ticket for over a
 year. What's needed?

 The PR:
 - has changes requested
 - will need to be rebased to the current `trunk`
 - will need a deep review
 - will need another round of testing once it's ready

 Moving it to 6.2 in the hopes that it can move forward in the next cycle.
