Comment:

 For many millions of WordPress users, creating a child theme will NEVER
 suit their needs. The audience for TRAC is mostly developers, and it's
 easy to fail to consider the needs of the vast majority of people trying
 to use WordPress, who have no idea how nor willingness to write a line of
 code. These are the people I work with every day, and for these people,
 Full Site Editing in its current incarnation is a step backwards in terms
 of getting the site to look the way they want.

 I understand this is "working as designed". I feel the design is flawed.
