 [attachment:"54257.1.2.diff"] looks great to me.

 [attachment:"54257.2.diff"] includes a few more changes to further clarify
 the variable names, use a consistent approach for adjusting the higher and
 lower version numbers, and decrease the number of `implode()` calls.
