 I, too, am having similar issues. Mine seemed to happen when I upgraded
 from WordPress 4.9.8 (yes, from 2018) to the current version. If I took
 screenshots, they'd be almost identical to the ones @jancarole took. I
 just downloaded the Classic Widget plugin and installed it. I am also
 having issues with FullCalendar. I don't write code, so I am struggling
 with this!
