 Hi @yratof thanks so much for creating this issue! This ticket was
 discussed in the recent Media meeting and there was a bit of discussion
 around how this would be exposed. You mentioned hovering over the gallery
 image and seeing a sort of "set as featured" option. Where would you
 imagine that could render?

 There were some concerns that this option being in the rendered gallery
 could be confusing as it would be an option unrelated to the content being
 edited in the Gallery. Another option was discussed that maybe it should
 expose the "set as featured" option via the admin modal when you are
 selecting your Gallery items. (Think under the the "Edit Image" button? )
 In this case, it would unify the experience for not only the Gallery
 block, but any media block in Core or custom. Let us know what you think
 and we'll make sure this gets the appropriate workflow tags. :)
