 +1 for (at the very least) having the ability to move all template files
 to a dedicated templates folder.

 developers.

 I'm annoyed to no end with having template files littering my root folder.
 OCD i never knew I had just kicks in whenever I see my template files
 interspersed with {{{style.css}}} and {{{functions.php}}}.

 Is there further discussion necessary (ticket is tagged 2nd-opinion)? Or
 can this ticket get the go ahead? I would greatly appreciate having this
 functionality and as I see it, this will in no way adversely effects
 anyone not wishing to use this.

 I think this ticket should get some love alongside
 https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/17512 and #48175 or #43597
