 Made a plugin, no time to submit WordPress. I am using TGM to get it from
 GitHub. https://github.com/carasmo/classic-text-widget

 I have TGM in the Genesis child theme which requires a theme specific
 plugin that privately updates, then I use TGM in the plugin to add
 required/recommended plugins for situations like this.
