 image size is specified for the custom logo, you should see the crop
 dialog appear if the aspect ratio isn't correct. If there is no image size
 specified, then the `full` size should be used in the theme instead
 (without a crop step).

 Tested, and works as you describe it. This alleviates the immediate
 problem in a clean way.
