 28577.6.patch looks pretty good. Couple of small nitpicks: you don't need
 to add `selected="selected"` on the first option, it is selected by
 default. The different browsers would let you style a `<select>` a bit
 differently, but generally many styles are ignored on <option>, perhaps
 the font-size can be 18px to make it a bit more prominent. And of course
 the size (visible rows) can be changed from JS, perhaps useful for mobile.
