 I think the scrolling issue is actually introduced in the patch.

 As for clearing/viewing/editing the selection. How does this work in the
 native photo apps? On an iPhone you just see # selected. That's it. No way
 to view the selection separately or edit it. You can do so already...
 Maybe a bit more scrolling, but I don't see the point of the screen.
 Ideally I'd like to put 4 images on a row, reducing the padding between
 the images and restyling a selected image (replacing the square select box
 that overflows the image).
