 you can easily extend !WordPress with plugins. You can activate Akismet or
 search for another [https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=spam plugin
 for spam protection].

 Your second point is not really a problem. You probably want to customize
 the error handling to make it more confirm with your theme, see #18630 or
 #16979.
