 Right now, the experience is completely broken in IE 7,8 and 9 (at least).
 This is do to the cross domain request for the themes failing.

 The above patch uses admin-ajax.php to proxy the request so it is not
 cross domain. The proxy is very simple (there is a nonce check, but that
 is about it). If this is the route we want to go, I can flush it out.
