 Agreed. We can keep iterating and refining this, of course, but in the
 meantime how do you feel about committing this part? I quite like the
 balance between clarity and not obfuscating the theme we reached here.

 I think CSS is a bit better of a solution because we keep the structure we
 have for non-active themes consistent.
