 [attachment:14511.3.diff] is the above with the realization that there is
 no reason to reprocess results into a new array.

 Also starts to add caching, though invalidation is likely going to be a
 bit weird. I'm guessing we need a `last_updated` key to rely on, but then
 need to figure out all the places that indicate a refresh is needed.
