Comment:

 Right on. Would like to get a 2nd opinion on this one. FWIW many of the
 plugins I have created deal with display of custom taxonomies so I may be
 more sensitive to this than others. I would love to see the default theme
 provide a fallback for their display. Feel free to close this ticket if
 adding taxonomy.php is out of scope.
