 I don't think that one button or link at the bottom of a page of text
 output constitutes clutter that is worth being afraid of. It will not
 conflict with any other UI in its area because there is nothing else there
 except diagnostic output that will almost never be needed.

 Also this isn't really new UI as it would bring the bulk updater in line
 with the single-plugin updater, which ends its output with:

   Actions: Activate Plugin | Return to Plugins page

 So maybe a link in that style would be best:

   Return to Updates
