 Jeremy, you are rehashing something that has already been debated.  What
 you are proposing was already part of what John mocked up at the very
 beginning of this process.  His original mockups consisted of 3 different
 header variations (dark, medium and light) and the UI team opted for the
 light version.  I'm not sure what you are proposing that hasn't already
 been proposed and decided against...
