 I think the middle one is quite compelling; it reduces the heaviness of
 the original header but does help anchor the top of the page. Agreed about
 the currently-implemented light background "blend[ing] together" and "made
 of the same plastic." Also agreed about the favorites button currently
 looking like a text field -- I assumed that was still being worked on.

 I don't have any kind of authority here, just offering my opinion, but I'd
 be in favor of going for something like the middle option jeremyclarke
