Comment:

 Let me start by saying I'm 100% into this whole idea!  I love it!

 I like Otto42's suggestion.  That allows from optimal flexibility in the
 image tag.

 If we did do a complete image shortcode, i would like to propose that we
 offer support for things like "rel" or maybe an attribute for thickbox.
