 I disabled the post type and taxonomy plugin. Code can be viewed here:
 http://wordpress.pastebin.com/a5ucuvsM

 I then visited /wp-admin/options-permalink.php to flush permalinks.

 I visited: /type/status/ and it worked!

 I then re-activated my custom plugin, flushed permalinks and it's back to
 not-working.

 So the problem appears to be with my code. If you could please let me know
 if I have done something horribly wrong I would really appreciate it. The
 only other plugin that I have installed that I believe would interfere is
 Search Everything:
