 That does however, Remove the ability for search engines to index the
 content of the extra comments.

 The ability to enable/disable certain aspects of permalinks would be
 nice.. Ie. to allow /%postname%/?comment-page=34 However.. I don't think
 thats something that should be implemented on its own, but rather as a
 more far-reaching reorganisation, Something that might be better suited to
 plugins for the time-being.
